The route follows the foreshore trail to Seaview Avenue then winds west to the pathway to the Kelvedon soccer ground. We pass the Taroona Neighbourhood Garden and walk through the park back to our starting point. If you wish, you can extend the walk by going as far as the boatsheds at Taroona High School, returning on the same path or once you’ve returned to the BBQ area you can proceed to the southern end of Hinsby Beach.

Please arrive at 10.45am for a 11:00am start. We will begin our walk from the BBQ shelter at Taroona Beach at the bottom of Taroona Crescent. There is parking at the beach.

The walk is easy. It takes less than 1 hour to complete.

Yes, we will have BBQ food at the end of the walk at the barbecue area. Sausages and burgers (both meat and vegetarian), bread and salads will be provided. Bring your own drinks and nibbles.

There are toilets adjacent to the BBQ shelter.

The walk is a loop route so you will finish at the start point.

Yes. You can bring your dog on a lead.

The walk will go ahead in all weather conditions. However, if the weather is looking bad please check the BEAT Bladder Cancer Facebook page for any updates.
